As a Local Bank Officer, you will be the backbone of branch operations. Your daily tasks will include:

Eligibility & Educational Qualifications

Punjab & Sind Bank has specified the following criteria for the LBO position:

Educational Background: Must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
Mandatory Experience: Minimum 18 months (1.5 years) of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) after graduation.
Local Language: Proficiency in the local language of the state you are applying for is required.

Age Limit & Relaxations (As of 01-03-2026)

Minimum Age: 20 Years.
Maximum Age: 30 Years.
Birth Date Range: Candidate must be born between 02-03-1996 and 01-03-2006 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 Years.
OBC (NCL): 3 Years.
PwBD: 10 to 15 Years depending on the category.

Selection Process & Exam Syllabus

The selection process consists of four major stages:

Written Examination: A computer-based test (CBT).
Screening: Review of experience and credentials.

Language Proficiency Test: To verify local language skills.

Written Exam Pattern:

Banking Knowledge: 40 Questions (40 Marks).
English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks).

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected LBOs will be placed in the JMGS I Scale.

Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 48,480.
Maximum Scale: Rs. 85,920.
Total Gross Salary: Including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other perks, the monthly salary will be approximately Rs. 70,480+.
