Eligibility & Educational Qualifications

DGQA has specified distinct educational requirements and experience for each post:

Stenographer Grade-II:

  • Education: Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Skill Test: Dictation at 80 wpm for 10 minutes. Transcription in English (50 min) or Hindi (65 min) on a computer.

CMD (OG) - Driver:

  • Education: 10th Class pass from a recognized board.
  • License: Must possess a valid license for both Light and Heavy Vehicles.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of driving experience is mandatory.

Carpenter:

  • Education: 10th Class pass plus an ITI Certificate in the Carpenter trade.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the respective trade.


Age Limit & Relaxations (As of 24-04-2026)

Candidates must fall within the following age brackets to be eligible:

  • Stenographer Gr-II: 18 to 27 Years.
  • CMD (OG) - Driver: 18 to 27 Years.
  • Carpenter: 18 to 37 Years.

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 Years relaxation.
  • OBC (NCL): 3 Years relaxation.
  • PwBD: UR (10 Years), OBC (13 Years), SC/ST (15 Years).
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per existing Government rules.


Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a handsome salary along with central government allowances like HRA, DA, and Medical benefits.

  • Stenographer Gr-II: Level-4 (Monthly Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100).
  • CMD (OG) & Carpenter: Level-2 (Monthly Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200).

Selection Process

The recruitment involves a two-stage selection process:

  1. Stage 1 - Written Exam: Testing the candidate's subject knowledge and General Awareness.
  2. Stage 2 - Skill Test: * Stenographers: Dictation and Typing test.
  • Drivers: Vehicle driving and handling test. 
  • Carpenters: Practical trade test.

  2. Type the application in English on an A4 size paper as per the Appendix A-II format provided in the notification.
  3. Prepare two copies of the Acknowledgement Card (Appendix A-III).
  4. Prepare three passport-size photos: one for the application form and two for the acknowledgement cards.
  5. Attach a self-addressed envelope (Size: 25 cm x 10 cm).
  6. On the main envelope, clearly write: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______ AND CATEGORY _______".
  7. Attach self-attested copies of all your academic and experience certificates.
  8. Send the complete set via Speed Post or Registered Post to the address below.
