Eligibility & Educational Qualifications

DGQA has specified distinct educational requirements and experience for each post:

Stenographer Grade-II:

Education: Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Skill Test: Dictation at 80 wpm for 10 minutes. Transcription in English (50 min) or Hindi (65 min) on a computer.

CMD (OG) - Driver:

Education: 10th Class pass from a recognized board.

License: Must possess a valid license for both Light and Heavy Vehicles.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of driving experience is mandatory.

Carpenter:

Education: 10th Class pass plus an ITI Certificate in the Carpenter trade.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the respective trade.

Age Limit & Relaxations (As of 24-04-2026)

Candidates must fall within the following age brackets to be eligible:

Stenographer Gr-II: 18 to 27 Years.
CMD (OG) - Driver: 18 to 27 Years.
Carpenter: 18 to 37 Years.

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 Years relaxation.
OBC (NCL): 3 Years relaxation.
PwBD: UR (10 Years), OBC (13 Years), SC/ST (15 Years).
Ex-Servicemen: As per existing Government rules.

Salary & Benefits

Selection Process

The recruitment involves a two-stage selection process:

Stage 1 - Written Exam: Testing the candidate's subject knowledge and General Awareness.
Stage 2 - Skill Test: * Stenographers: Dictation and Typing test.
