Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following academic, age, and skill-based requirements:

1. Educational Qualifications & Experience:

Tradesman: Must have passed 10th Class with an ITI Certificate in Mechanic/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Instrumental/Carpentry. Requires 2 years of experience in an Engineering/Automobile/Ship Repair organization.
Seaman: 10th Class pass with 3 years of experience on mechanized vessels (including 2 years as a Helmsman). A Competency Certificate from the Marine Mercantile Dept is preferred.
Greaser: 10th Class pass with 3 years of experience in engine room work on mechanized vessels. An Engine Driver Certificate is an added advantage.

2. Age Limit (as of 30.04.2026):

Tradesman: Maximum 25 Years.
Seaman & Greaser: 18 to 25 Years.
Relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), and PwBD (10-15 years) as per government rules.

Salary Structure & Perks

Selected candidates will be placed under the Central Government Pay Matrix:

Tradesman: Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200).
Seaman & Greaser: Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900).
Additional Benefits: In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to HRA, DA, Transport Allowance, and other medical/pension benefits as a permanent central government employee.

Selection Process
